The Hatozaki was named after the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan, a symbol of safety and guidance listed as a Historical Monument, and is distilled in the Kaikyo distillery owned by Akashi Sake brewery. This whisky has aged for several years in ex bourbon casks, ex sherry casks and Japanese Mizunara casks from the Hokkaido and Tohuku forests. Composed of 100% malt whiskies and blended from 5 to 6-year-old single malt, it is only produced in small batches of less than 20 casks. This whisky is never coloured and unchill-filtered.
