Tullibardine is a relatively young distillery. It was founded in 1949 by well-known architect William Delme-Evans, who transformed Gleneagles Brewery into a thriving distillery. Tullibardine is currently owned by wine and spirits group Picard. Their wine background influences the current core range of the distillery. For example, the Tullibardine 228 was finished for 12 months in 228-liter Red Burgundy wine casks from Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet.
