Tomintoul is a relatively young distillery located in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park. Founded in 1965, it started life as a relatively small distillery, but it has since doubled in size. Their new Tomintoul Seiridh (pronounced ‘sheh-ree’ and meaning sherry in Scottish Gaelic) has first matured in American oak bourbon casks from Kentucky. This single malt was then finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts from Andalucia, Spain. Only 6,000 bottles are released of this first batch.
