Tomatin is about 315 metres above sea level and is Scotland's fourth highest distillery. For a long time, the 12 year old Tomatin was bottled at a strength of 40%, but with the expression, bottled since 2015 it increased to 43%,giving it just a little more depth in taste. This multiple international award winning whisky first matured for more than 11 months on ex-Bourbon casks and then for 6 to 9 months on Spanish ex-Sherry casks.
