Chugoku Jozo is a liqueur, Sake and Shochup producer. The distillery has been located in Akiota, near Hiroshima, since 1918. Since 1990 they have been buying Malt and Grain Whisky in Scotland and Canada, which they mature in part of an old unused train tunnel of 361 metres long. The name Togouchi comes from the place where the tunnel is located. This blend is a mixture of various barrels. Because the whisky matures in Japan, it can be legally called Japanese whisky.
