A very surprising Whisky from Japan. The Togouchi is named after a place near Akiota, where an old section of train tunnel is located. In Akiota, the Chugoku Jozo distillery is located, where Liqueur, Sake and Shochu were made since 1918. The distillery nowadays buys Malt and Grain Whisky in Canada and Scotland and blends these very carefully and then have this blend age for 18 years in bourbon barrels in that old railway tunnel. The result is soft and complex.
