Tamnavulin is one of the distilleries founded during the whisky boom of the early 1960s. While it might be fairly unknown because it mainly produces for blended whiskies, Tamnavulin actually has a large capacity and produces millions of liters of whisky per annum. Only some of that single malt reaches the shelves, including the Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition. This tasty expression initially matured in American oak barrels but was finished in three different types of sherry casks.
