The Tamdhu Distillery opened in 1897 and was taken over by Ian MacLeod distillers in 2011. The aim was to come back with Whisky, in which the real Tamdhu character can be recognized. This 10 year old, with the typical soft Speyside character, complies fully with it. That this Tamdhu has had a full maturation on Sherry casks is clear; Spicy with clear Sherry influences, fruit and chocolate. A delicate whisky of which, after enjoying it, you probably think it's a good thing Tamdhu is back all the way!
