Smokehead is a peated single malt whisky from an undisclosed Islay distillery. It sits squarely in the Kildalton flavor group, which could mean it’s either from Ardbeg, Lagavulin or Laphroaig. Caol Ila would also be a prime suspect. Chances are they’ve been using different distilleries for different batches since this brand was first launched in 2006. But what really matters is that this is a fantastic young, smoky Scotch whisky that has been a staple among peat lovers for many years.
