Shinobu Distillery will be located in the beautiful Niigata prefecture of Japan, an area praised for its rice and sake. While awaiting construction, founder Ken Usami sourced whisky from Japan and other countries. He blended these whiskies together and filled them into bespoke Mizunara oak casks. This type of oak is deeply rooted in Japanese history, blends well with the flavors of whisky, and adds a velvety mouthfeel.
