One of two distilleries on the Orkney Islands, Scapa is often overshadowed by the illustrious Highland Park. Not as much money is spent on marketing, but Scapa is nonetheless a whisky worth seeking out. Long fermentation times make for a fruitiness that is further enhanced in other stages of production. The Scapa Glansa comes with a twist though — it is finished in American oak casks that previously held smoky, peated whisky! It works wonders in combination with Scapa’s distinctive flavor profile.
