PUNI Distillery lies in the midst of the Italian Alps, just outside the town of Glorenza. Founded in 2012, the distillery was named after the nearby eponymous river. A little more than 3 years later the first PUNI whisky was finally bottled. PUNI – Sole spent its final 2 years of maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The name of the whisky is a nod to two crucial stages in sherry production; drying grapes under the hot Spanish sun to concentrate sweetness and a maturation method called Solera.
