Powers Gold Label is a classic Irish whiskey that has been around since 1791, the year it was founded by James Power, an innkeeper. The distillery used to be located at John’s Lane in Dublin, but Powers Gold Label is now being produced at Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It was once a pure single pot still whiskey, which is the traditional style of Irish whiskey made from both malted and unmalted barley. Currently, Powers Gold Label also includes grain whiskeys.
