Peat’s Beast is a single malt whisky but it’s unknown at which distillery it is made. It could very well be one of the beasty Islay distilleries, but there are other producers of peated whisky in Scotland as well. The brand has been around since 2011 and was developed by a couple of whisky industry veterans. This special release was finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and subsequently bottled at a very high strength. We might not know its heritage, but it is very tasty regardless.
