Although it is not entirely sure where Nobushi is produced, the brand mentions this Japanese blended whisky is from three different regions in Japan – Miyagi, Nagano and Hokkaido. It matured in American oak barrels and is named after the Nobushi, Japanese elite warriors sworn to protect villages. The word literally translated to ‘spirit of honor’. Due to unrestrictive regulations for Japanese whisky, part of Nobushi could be imported from Scotland or Canada.
