The Maker’s Mark 46 was the first extension of this brand’s core range since the 1950s. It is basically the standard expression but with added spice. It shares characteristics with the regular Maker’s Mark, but the is different enough to keep things interesting. The spice is added by inserting seared French oak staves into the barrels. That’s also where the name comes from because the staves have profile “number 46”.
