When revered master blender Billy Walker bought GlenAllachie some 5 years ago, he also became the proud owner of MacNair’s, a whisky brand that was quietly waiting to be revived. Walker was the perfect person to do so. He created a new recipe from both peated and unpeated malt whiskies, including single malt from GlenAllachie. The small batch MacNair's 12 Y Lum Reek matured in first-fill bourbon, Pedro Ximénez and red wine casks until the whisky reached its peak.
