The Laphroaig distillery is located on the south coast of the island of Islay. This Scottish single malt, first released in 2013, has first matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in charred barrels made of American white oak. This maturation process, combined with the classic intense flavour profile of Laphroaig, gives you the expectation that this Laphroaig has a firm peat and smoky taste, but the result is a very balanced single malt.
