Jimmy Bedford, the sixth-ever master distiller of Jack Daniel’s, was both a farmer and whiskey-maker, much like Mr. Jack. He began his career with the introduction of Gentleman Jack, and a few years later the very first bottles of Single Barrel Select are hand-selected by Jimmy himself. He travelled the world as something of an ambassador for Jack Daniel’s, and led tastings and seminars all over the globe. In 2007 he was presented with the Icons of Whisky Lifetime Achievement Award.
