In the early 19th century, Prince Regent and future King George IV of England sent an order to Hennessy for ‘a very superior old pale Cognac’. He unwittingly created the VSOP classification, a Cognac that has aged for at least 4 years. Today Hennessy is keeping that tradition alive with the Hennessy – VSOP Privilège, a blend of over 60 eaux de vie from four of the Cognac region’s crus.
