Made in Suntory’s mountain forest distillery, nestled in Mt. Kaikomagatake, Hakushu is the fresh and gently smoky Japanese single malt whisky. It is truly a revelatory whisky, straight from the unspoiled forests, and made from the soft and crisp waters that flow out of the Southern Japanese Alps. Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve is the distillery’s flagship expression, and it is a mixture of lightly peated malt, heavily peated malt, and whisky matured in American oak for around 18 years. You can drink the Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve neat, but it also lends itself to mixing in Mizuwaris (Highballs).
