Green Spot is a tremendous Irish single pot still whiskey with a formidable reputation. It was first sold in the 19th century in Mitchell’s grocer shop in the heart of Dublin. Green Spot is made with both malted and unmalted barley, as it has been for centuries. The whiskey matures in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and ex-sherry butts for between 7 and 10 years. Green Spot is made in relatively small batches, hence its high demand and rarity.
