Founded in 1878, Glenrothes was built during the third big wave of new Scotch distilleries. Much of its production ends up in blends like Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse. But Glenrothes also produces single malt that can stand on its own. Recently, the distillery completely overhauled their core range, introducing the Glenrothes Whisky Maker’s Cut along the way. Part of the brand’s Soleo Collection, the Whisky Maker’s Cut has no age statement but matured fully in first-fill sherry casks.
