Ever since the establishment of the distillery in 1843, Glenmorangie has been combining tradition and innovation with award-winning whiskies worldwide. The stills are the highest in Scotland, so that only the lightest and purest vapours reach and condensate the highest point. Glenmorangie ripens the whisky on ex-bourbon barrels. To guarantee optimum taste, they use the barrels only 2 times. Glenmorangie was the first to bring Wood-Finished whiskies to the market, with extra maturation on, for example, Sherry barrels (The Lasanta), Port barrels (The Quinta Ruban) or Sauternes barrels (The Nectar d' Or).
