Glenglassaugh Port Wood Finish is exactly as the name implies. This whisky was distilled at Glenglassaugh, a distillery located on the northwestern coast of Scotland. Glenglassaugh was built in 1874 but has been closed for big chunks of its existence. The distillery reopened fairly recently in 2008 and now finally seems to have found its place in the Scotch whisky landscape. After an initial maturation in traditional casks (most likely former bourbon barrels), the whisky was finished in ruby Port pipes.
