Since its founding in 1826, the Glendronach Distillery had an agitated history of closures and acquisitions. The last closure dates from 1995. In 2002 Glendronach reopened and gained popularity fast. Traditionally, their whisky ages in sherry casks; just like this 12 years old. These casks give much scent and flavor to whisky. Sherry tones can be recognized by raisins, dried fruit, herbs and a light sweetie. These are definitely recognizable in this whisky.
