Once upon a time, Macallan was untouchable when it came to sherry-matured whisky. In recent years, GlenDronach has caught up — or even surpassed — with Macallan to become the leading sherry-matured Scotch whisky brand. The GlenDronach Forgue is one such example of what this Highland distillery has to offer. It matured in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The whisky is named after Scotland’s Forgue valley, in which the GlenDronach distillery is located.
