Situated in Nova Scotia, Glenora was the first malt whisky distillery in Canada when it was founded in 1990. The name Glen Breton was a point of contention for the Scotch Whisky Association, which claimed that it was misleading potential international buyers. After years of litigation, it was ruled that Glenora could continue using the name. Glen Breton has since grown into a mature single malt whisky from Canada, of which there aren’t that many. This particular expression has aged for 10 years in American oak casks.
