On the Isle of Islay lies Loch Finlaggan. It is a place of great importance in Scottish history. The chiefs of Clan Donald chose Finlaggan as their home, and they quickly became known as the Lords of the Isles. They ruled the islands on the west coast of Scotland during the 13th to 15th century. Finlaggan Cask Strength is a single malt whisky named after the iconic loch, produced at one of the legendary distilleries of Islay. They won’t tell you which one, but you can be sure it is a heavily peated whisky, bottled at a very high strength. A true peat bomb!
