Dewar’s 18 Y is developed by master blender Tom Aitken and has aged for 18 years before being married in a vat made from oak. Even though Dewar’s 18 Y is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies, it is heavily influenced by Aberfeldy’s single malt whisky. Over a century ago, John Dewar was one of the first Scotsmen to blend whisky. He was so enamored with the result that he decided to put his name on the bottle as a mark of quality.
