Visiting Bruichladdich is like going back in time. Computers are nowhere to be found and every piece of equipment functions in much the same way as it did in the 19th century. This Islay distillery has a cult following, as do many of its whiskies. A prime example is this Port Charlotte, 10 Y a heavily peated whisky that has gained many fans since it was first launched in 2018. Drawn from first-fill American whisky casks, second-fill American whisky casks and second-fill French wine casks, this is a delectable smoky whisky indeed.
