This Lowland distillery was founded in 1817, and up until a few years ago its future was uncertain. Bladnoch was closed in 2010, but an Australian entrepreneur bought it, and revived this historic Scottish distillery to its former glory. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Bladnoch Samsara was one of three whiskies released in 2017. It doesn’t carry an age statement, but is said to be made up from 8-year-old whiskies, as well as older and rarer whiskies. Bladnoch produces a light, grassy and malty Lowland-style single malt.
