Originally built in 1898, Benromach was brought back to life when the Urquhart family purchased it in 1993. By that time the distillery had been closed for 10 years. Currently, Benromach is one of only a few distilleries in Scotland to use mostly traditional methods, without any automated machinery. Their whisky is known for having an old school flavor profile, which shines through in the Benromach, 15 Y. Having matured in first-fill sherry casks and bourbon hogsheads, this single malt takes you back to the 1950s.
