In 2004, Etienne Bouillon turned his hobby distillery into a professional and distilled the first Belgian whisky to be released in 2007. In 2013 he bought the old stills from the lost Scottish Caperdonich distillery and rebuilt them in the new distillery in Fexhe-le-Haut-Clocher. Etienne is also growing barley around the distillery, so that it really is a 100% Belgian whisky.
