Balblair uses vintages instead of age statements. This 1990 matured on both bourbon barrrels and sherry casks. The nose is sweet on white fruit and vanilla custard, but also offers some strawberries. Marshmallows and even a hint of bubblegum. Fresh and lively. The orchard fruit returns on the palate. It is a bit oily. Some pineapple cubes and icing sugar, with something milk-like. The finish is fruity and fairly long. A very nice spring whisky.
