Close to Glasgow, in the Scottish Lowlands, an old distillery is located, probably built by Irish immigrants around 1825. The whisky produced here is one of the mildest of Scotland, distilled 3 times, just like in Ireland. This Springwood is a wonderful example of that. It is only aged on American Bourbon barrels. The character is subtle with fresh citrus tones and vanilla. In short, a very nice example of a Lowlander.
