Auchentoshan, 12 Y is a singular whisky from the Lowlands of Scotland. In contrast with almost every other Scottish distillery, Auchentoshan exclusively distils its whisky three times instead of the much more common double distillation method. It’s more time consuming and expensive, but also distils away more impurities and leaves room for strong notes of fruit and citrus to come through. Auchentoshan, 12 Y is an exceptionally smooth whisky.
