Made at Distillerie Warenghem, Armorik was the first ever French single malt when it was released in 1998. Maturation of their single malt generally takes place in new and refill casks made from Breton oak, but they made an exception for this very limited single cask release. This new Armorik aged for 6 years in a former Portuguese wine cask that was shaved, toasted and re-charred. The cask was essentially given a second lease on life. As a thank you it imparted an intensely delicious flavor to the fruity Armorik spirit.
