While the whisky is named anCnoc, it is actually made at a distillery called Knockdhu. Situated right outside of a small Scottish town called Knock, the distillery was founded in 1893 and is currently known for its sustainable approach to whisky production. AnCnoc is not a household name (yet) but has all the makings of a great single malt. The anCnoc 18 Y is a step up from their regular offering and has matured in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It has been neither chill-filtered nor colored.
