The Eigashima Shuzo (White Oak) Distillery is located in Akashi and, since 1919, has been producing Sake and Shochu, a kind of Japanese gin. In 1984, a new whisky kettle was added in a new small, attached distillery. They only produce Single Malt 2 months a year. This Malt is of different ages from 3 to 7 years old and has matured on bourbon casks, sherry casks and Japanese oak casks. The whisky is typical of Japan; very soft, light and fruity.
