The Aerstone Single Malts are part of an effort by William Grant & Sons, owners of Glenfiddich, to simplify the taste messaging. Aerstone, 10 Y – Sea Cask for example, is a Speyside-style single malt matured near the Scottish Ayrshire coast. The theory is that the influence of that location should be noticeable in the end product. While it’s not explicitly mentioned on the label, the Aerstone Sea Cask is distilled at Ailsa Bay, an innovative distillery in the Lowlands of Scotland.
