Absolut is made from locally-grown winter wheat in the Swedish town of Åhus. Founded in 1879, it was first released as Absolut Rent Brännvin, which means “absolutely pure vodka”. Fast forward 140 years later and Absolut has grown to become one of the foremost vodka brands in the world.
