The Jameson story began in 1780 when Scottish businessman John Jameson purchased the Bow Street Distillery in Dublin. John triple distilled his chief brand whisky, Jameson when most others were double distilled; according to him resulting in a smoother product. It wasn’t long before Jameson became internationally popular and is now the world's leading Irish whiskey. This Jameson Signature Reserve is a unique combination of high pott-still content and maturation on Oloroso-sherry barrels and a small part of American oak.
